About This Episode

Crowdsourcing Compliance
Engaging & Involving Employees

In this episode of Creativity & Compliance, Tom & Ronnie discuss how to engage and involve employees to carry important compliance messaging forward. The best tool…make it fun!

We’re all trying to gain and maintain awareness, engage and educate and grow our influence and impact. But that can be challenging when you have a limited budget. What can you do? Get creative and tap into the collective intelligence of employees.
Employees want to be apart of something cool. So your challenge is create something cool that they want to be a part of.
  • Come up with a hook.
  • Involve them. Ask them to do something or create something.
  • Collect what they’ve created.
  • Reward them.
  • Cascade what they’ve created forward.
  • Create a feedback loop.
Several fun activities and games were shared in this episode including: Song lyric contest, Name the mascot contest, Posing with pets and promoting policies, selfie video tagline contest, talk shows, game shows and podcasts.
Engaging and involving others is an efficient and effective way to create influence and impact and it doesn’t have to cost a lot of dollars. You do need to be creative to establish the fun hook to draw them in. But it’s worthwhile as you get to reap the benefits of the collective creativity of your organization. It’s a great way to get buy in.
Become something cool that they want to be a part of. It’s an efficient and effective way to boost awareness, engagement and influence.”
